Welcome to Arctic Warriors Wrestling Club

Founded in 2010 and based in Wasilla, Alaska; Arctic Warriors Wrestling Club (AWWC) trains athletes ages 4 and up in Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling. We’re open to all wrestlers in our community—regardless of gender, school affiliation, or experience.

Whether stepping on the mat for the first time or training for nationals, you’ll find a place here.

Our Philosophy

We train hard, respect the grind, and support each other every step of the way.

Wrestling should be tough, but it should also be fun—especially for young athletes. At AWWC, we emphasize:

  • Meeting kids where they are

  • Scaling training to match skill and experience

  • Encouraging a love for the sport WHILE chasing medals

Note for Beginning Wrestlers:

We value consistency, but we also understand that every family and athlete is different. Club season is meant to be tough and fun. If your wrestler needs time off then please take it. We reinforce this message regularly in our parent meetings.

  • Tuesday & Thursday 6pm - 730pm

  • Monday - Thursday | 6pm - 730pm

    Monday: Greco-Roman focus

    Wednesday: Higher-intensity day

    Tuesday/Thursday: Freestyle

  • Monday - Wednesday 6-8pm

  • MUST WEAR SINGLET AND HAVE NAILS CLIPPED BEFORE STEPPING ON THE SCALE
